SEGEZHA GROUP – WINNER OF THE "INVESTOR OF THE REGION IN 2021" COMPETITION FOR INVESTMENT PROJECTS IN VOLOGDA REGION

The Sokolsky CBK project took 1st place at the 5th annual Regional Investor Of the Region 2021 Competition. The awards ceremony took place on May 20 in the framework of the economic forum "Vologda Region: Challenges - Prospects - Points of Growth." The diploma of the 1st degree and the commemorative sign of the Director General of the Sokolsky CBK, Petr Delicateyuk, received in a solemn atmosphere from the hands of the Governor of vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

The plant won the category "For the implementation of the best investment project in the industry" with the project "Installing a lgnosulfonite dryer with the packaging of the finished product." A total of 28 applications for projects implemented in 2020 were submitted for the competition.

Segezha Group's investment in the project amounted to 310 million rubles. The drying plant is part of the concept of creating a closed-loop plant - it uses pulp by-products and helps to reduce the plant's burden on the environment.

Dry lignosulfonates are a high-tech product in demand in the oil industry, foundry production and road construction. The geography of sales of the new Segezha Group product covers 13 countries. The key markets are: Turkey, Egypt, Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Israel and Lithuania.

"Sokolsky CBK is a modern developing enterprise, where the volume of output is growing and new jobs are emerging. We have big plans to further expand production. Already, the plant has started the active stage of the project to install a new paper-making machine," said Pyotnyuk, CEO of Sokolsky CBC.
